Activities at the Nelson County Summer Festival  range from pony rides for the kids to wine tasting for the adults and a Festival Marketplace to delight everyone, all set against a backdrop of top quality musical acts and beautiful scenery.

The Rural Living tents are an assortment of sights, sounds and activities. Enjoy a variety of informative and fascinating exhibits, where you can pet the critters, or exchange ideas with fellow gardeners .

Kids Fest - Fun for Children

Kids Fest is a zone bursting with activites for the younger set - from pony rides, to an array of creative games and projects under the enthusiastic guidance of the students, teachers and parents of North Branch School.

Blue Ridge Wines

Central Virginia has been home to a thriving farm wine industry since Jefferson's time. The modern era of Virginia wine-growing in the region began in Nelson County. Award-winning wines, presented by eight local vineyards, will be available for tasting and purchase by adults (age 21 years and older). There is a $5.00 charge for wine tasting, which includes a souvenir glass.

An array of high-quality products by regional artisans, and a sampling of Nelson County's cottage industry, offers something for everyone in all price ranges.
