Farm Information

The Trails at Oak Ridge

Outdoor enthusiasts love the 30+ miles of private trails on the farm.  Yearly VHSS dirt bike trail races and four-wheel drive events are held here. The trails are also ideal for those on horseback, bicycle, or foot. Event promoters may lease portions of trails.  The Oak Ridge Fox Hunt Club calls this farm home. The trails are private and only accessible when part of a venue rental agreement. Please check the FAQ section to determine if trails are accessible for your upcoming event visit.

Horse Racing at the Oak Ridge Track

The original horse track was built in 1909 and restored by John C. Holland, Jr. with an inaugural meet in 2001.  The facility is a one-mile oval harness track, with the accompanying grass thoroughbred track and hillside steeplechase. The track is currently used for outdoor events.

Large Events

Oak Ridge has hosted many events, including Virginia's largest music festival, Lockn'. Check out Overland East in 2025. We are excited to welcome Valley of the Seven Stars in October, 2025. The track event space is an ideal location for major events due to size and spectacular views.

Farmland

Oak Ridge is an active farm.  Pumpkins, corn, and soybean are cropped yearly by Fitzgerald Farms.  Remaining fields are used for hay.
